  • A very momentous thing happened this weekend.  I felt validated which only came after letting go of the fact that I wanted that validation...

This weekend our teams led worship on Saturday and Sunday.  I led a bulk of the songs this week, which I haven't in awhile.  I think for awhile I've been pushing/expecting Mike to lead most of the set while I fill in with a song here or there.  I must say I haven't felt that rush while leading in a LONG time.  The Spirit was definitely present and moving this weekend, it was awesome.  At the end of the sermon during the first service on Sunday my pastor asked me to come and pad while he played.  He then turns to me and says "All For You" so I'm like uh okay.  He tells the worship team to wait, and I play that song by myself to end the service.  1.  I've NEVER ended the service with a slow song and 2.  He's NEVER asked me to play an unrehearsed song on a Sunday.  I felt so much validation by that because up until that point he usually only asked this one guy to do something like that.  But the funnier thing is that I let go of all of this in November realizing that I needed that validation, but instead realized that my validation comes from my Father in Heaven.  Isn't it funny how God works?  Actually I'm laughing everyday because he sure has such a sense of humor.  I think He enjoys making my life a soap opera/movie!

  • I am still trusting in the Lord to do what He needs to do.  I believe that God doesn't give us something unless we're ready for it... (it might stretch us in the process)  God prepare me....

I am fasting with 200+ from my church for 7 days.  I completed 3 days of a Daniel Fast (fruits, vegetables, unprocessed foods, no sugar, no grains).  I am on day 2 of my liquid fast.  Can I just say that I am completely empty, physically AND emotionally.  I can't wait for this fast to finish, Lord speak to me.

  • So all you in xanga land that still stumble across this blog... I've waited for quite some time, and God is so faithful!  Thank you God for your faithfulness and answering my prayers.
